Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has already unveiled a slew of budget smartphones and it seems like the brand now has another device under its sleeves. The Chinese smartphone maker is working on the successor of Honor 7C which was launched earlier this year in May. Honor 8C is more like an affordable alternative to already launched Honor 8X.
We’re already aware of what the smartphone is going to offer thanks to the previous leaks. Adding to that roster, we now have a fresh new poster of the device revealing the expected launch date. The brand recently posted this teaser poster on their official Weibo’s account. The teaser reads “charging up” which clearly indicates the presence of the bigger battery. Since it is a budget smartphone, the support of Fast charging and AI charging seems highly unlikely. As per the teaser, Honor 8C will make its way into the Chinese market on October 11.
Honor 8C expected specifications and features
Recently, an unknown Honor smartphone did make an appearance on TENAA listing with a model number BKK-TL00. It is very likely that this could be the upcoming Honor 8C. As per the TENAA listing, the successor of Honor 7C will come with a 6.28-inch HD+ LCD display having a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Since most of the smartphones are now following the notch trend, the Honor 8C will not be an exception here.
Under the hood, the device is going to be powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. Although the listing didn’t reveal the name of the chipset, it definitely isn’t the Kirin 710 which is found in Honor 8X. The device will come with either 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. Speaking of optics, the listing revealed dual camera setup at the back having 13-MP primary and 2-MP secondary sensor. Unlike back, there is only one 8-MP selfie shooter inside the notch.
All of this runs on a massive 3,800mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo.
Honor 8C expected pricing details
As mentioned before, Honor 8C will go official in China on October 11. We’re expecting the pricing to be somewhat similar to its predecessor Honor 7C. To recall, the base variant of 7C comes with a price tag of Rs. 10,000.
