Microsoft keeps on adding various popular gaming titles to this list and today they announced a new addition. You can now play the popular Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare on your Xbox One thanks to the backward compatibility.

Modern Warfare was released way back in 2007 on Xbox 360, PC, and PS3. It became one of the most successful games of the franchise. The shift from World War 2 to the modern days with a mind-blowing storyline was very well received by the critics as well as fans. The game eventually sold over 15.7 million copies and marked the start of the series rise in popularity.

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare now runs on Xbox One

If you’re feeling nostalgic by seeing that old COD 4 which only runs on Xbox 360 then go ahead pop your disc on Xbox One and play this amazing game again. The Xbox One will automatically download the latest version for you. Alternatively, you can also purchase the digital copy of the game through the store.

We can expect the backward compatibility of the remaining two installments of the series soon. There is a Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered version which looks amazing. The addition of little graphic details on this version is just perfect making gameplay experience a lot better.
